Long-Term Insurance Learnership (People Living with Disabilities)

About the role

AVBOB, in partnership with the INSETA, offers a 12-month Occupational Certificate: Long-Term Insurance Adviser Learnership Programme (NQF Level 5, 180 credits) aimed at unemployed individuals, including people living with disabilities. The programme is open to applicants who want to build a career in the insurance industry.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the 12-month Occupational Certificate: Long-Term Insurance Adviser Learnership Programme (NQF Level 5, 180 credits).
• Work in the offices of the branches in the province where placed.

Required profile

• Valid matric certificate with English, Maths / Maths Literacy / Accounting.
• Aged 18 to 35.
• No previous learnerships attended and not enrolled in another study programme.
• South African citizen.
• Willing to work in the offices of any branch in the province; must have reliable transport.
• Smartphone and/or laptop is an advantage.

Required skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer skills (MS Office, email and internet).
• Ability to work independently and show initiative.

What we offer

• A monthly allowance (stipend) paid to the learner for the duration of the learnership.
• Preference given to suitably qualified candidates from previously disadvantaged groups.
