About the role
Overberg Personnel is looking for a dedicated long-distance driver in Klerksdorp to transport meat products to and from customers and suppliers. The successful candidate plays a key role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining food safety standards and providing excellent customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver and collect meat products on various routes.
- Collect payments (cash or card) and complete all related paperwork accurately.
- Use WhatsApp, GPS and pinned locations for navigation and communication.
- Operate refrigerated units and maintain the correct product temperatures.
- Drive for extended periods, up to 16 hours, and sleep out when required (up to 5 days).
- Clean and inspect the truck regularly.
Required profile
- Valid driver's licence with PDP code 14.
- At least 5 years of driving experience.
- Clean driving record.
- Physically fit and healthy.
- Working smartphone with WhatsApp.
- Grade 12 preferred.
