Lodge Manager

About the role

A luxury venue in Derdepoort, Pretoria is seeking an experienced Lodge Manager to lead guest services, accommodation operations, housekeeping and overall property management. The role combines day‑to‑day operational oversight with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Manage guest arrivals, departures and relations, ensuring seamless service.
• Oversee accommodation bookings, reservation administration and coordinate with events schedules.
• Supervise housekeeping and grounds teams, conducting daily inspections to maintain luxury standards.
• Maintain inventory of housekeeping stock, amenities and oversee property upkeep.
• Assist with kitchen, restaurant and public area presentation to uphold brand standards.
• Handle guest feedback and drive continuous improvement in satisfaction.

Required profile

• RSA ID and legal residence in South Africa.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in lodge, guesthouse, hotel or hospitality management.
• Proven experience managing housekeeping and grounds teams.
• Strong guest relations and communication abilities.
• Professional appearance and spoken manner.
• Hospitality qualification (advantageous).
• Willingness to live on‑site and be available for operational needs.

Required skills

• Experience with booking systems.
• Familiarity with property management software.
