Literature Specialist – Freelance AI Trainer

About the role

We are seeking a literature specialist to help train large‑scale language models. In this remote freelance position you will use your expertise in literary analysis to evaluate and improve AI reasoning on texts, themes, and critical interpretation.

Key responsibilities

• Engage the model with literary passages, analytical questions, and interpretation tasks.
• Verify factual accuracy, coherence, and depth of the model’s literary analysis.
• Document failure modes, capture reproducible error traces, and provide structured feedback.
• Help refine prompts, evaluation criteria, and reasoning quality for future model iterations.

Required profile

• Strong familiarity with classical, modern, and contemporary literature, poetry, drama, literary theory, or comparative literature.
• Experience in teaching, academic research, editorial work, or extensive reading and writing.
• Ability to articulate reasoning steps clearly (“show your work”).
• Preferably holds a degree in literature, English, or a related humanities field (not mandatory).
