Leisure Travel Consultant – Luxury Travel Specialist

About the role

As a Leisure Travel Consultant at Thompsons For Travel you will turn clients' travel dreams into reality. You will work with warm leads from an established client base, designing bespoke itineraries ranging from Maldives honeymoons to African safaris, without the need for cold‑calling.

Key responsibilities

• Create customised luxury travel itineraries for individuals, couples and groups.
• Manage the full reservations process from initial input to final confirmation.
• Provide expert destination advice and insider tips to enhance client experiences.
• Maintain strong client relationships and follow up on post‑travel feedback.
• Achieve sales targets while delivering high‑quality service.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leisure or luxury travel consulting.
• Excellent communication skills with a warm, confident manner.
• Strong numeracy, literacy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible, rostered shift hours.
• Passion for travel, discovery and delivering memorable experiences.

Required skills

• GDS experience – preferably Amadeus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Good geographical knowledge and ability to interpret contracts.
