Legal Specialist – Remote (Johannesburg)

About the role
Scissero is seeking a Legal Specialist to support live private equity, M&A, and financing transactions for global investment firms and corporates. The role is fully remote from Johannesburg and works within a fast‑moving, AI‑enhanced legal delivery team.
Key responsibilities
- Review and negotiate NDAs and ancillary transaction documents using client‑approved playbooks.
- Leverage Scissero’s proprietary AI‑enabled platform to identify deviations, apply playbooks, and ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the global legal team to deliver high‑quality work across concurrent deals.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to refine AI tools and improve the delivery model.
Required profile
- Law degree (LLB or equivalent).
- 1–3 years of experience in transactional legal work, contract review, or similar high‑volume environments.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing NDAs or comparable transactional agreements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing consistently high‑quality work.
