Legal Professional – Civil (Hybrid, Pretoria)

About the role

This position offers a driven legal professional the chance to provide civil law advice and support to policy holders within a hybrid, call‑centre style environment. You will work primarily via telephone and email, handling a range of civil matters without attending court.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients through consultations and written correspondence.
• Handle civil matters such as family, estate, and other non‑litigious issues.
• Draft legal documents including letters, agreements, and wills.
• Maintain accurate case files and records.
• Conduct legal research and apply relevant principles.
• Update clients regularly on case progress.
• Facilitate mediation and negotiate dispute resolutions.
• Assess case merits and advise on potential legal actions.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and collaborate with internal teams.

Required profile

• LLB degree; admission as attorney or advocate is advantageous.
• Minimum 2+ years post‑articles experience in civil law.
• Proficiency in at least two official African languages.
• Strong drafting, communication, and administrative abilities.
• High level of integrity, initiative, and professionalism.

Required skills

• Computer literacy.
