Legal Advisor & Company Secretary

About the role

We are partnering with a Johannesburg‑based JSE listed company to find a qualified Legal Advisor who will also fulfil Company Secretary responsibilities. The role is situated in the northern suburbs of Johannesburg and offers a competitive remuneration package.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of legal documents.
• Manage all compliance activities related to company secretarial duties, including CIPC filings, board resolutions and board meeting administration.
• Oversee the full contract lifecycle, from initiation through execution to renewal or termination.
• Provide regulatory and compliance oversight across the organisation.

Required profile

• LLB degree and admission as an attorney.
• 3–5 years of post‑articles experience.
• Proven experience handling company secretarial functions.
• Commercial legal experience within a corporate environment.
