Lease Administrator

About the role

Broll Property Group is hiring a Lease Administrator in Johannesburg on a permanent basis. The role covers lease administration, keeping tenant records, deposit and lease fee accounts accurate and up to date, and completing related reports and clerical work.

Key responsibilities

• Terminate tenant accounts on instruction and notify departments
• Capture journal entries for lease fees and deposits, electricity and water adjustments, and arrange invoices for tenants paying rent or deposits in advance
• Upload documents to the BOL system, archive originals, and advise meter readers of tenant movements
• Draft leases, keep a register of lease movements, process agreements through the owner's approval form, and prepare, cancel and amend leases, addenda and suretyships
• Handle deposits, bank guarantees and replacements, reconcile the deposit account, and update lease audits and building lease profiles
• Upload monthly leasing reports and prepare a monthly executive summary for the leasing manager
• Maintain good communication with colleagues and management, attend management meetings and take minutes, and complete special projects and lease renewal tasks as assigned

Required profile

• Matric education
• Good understanding of legal leases
• Basic understanding of accounting practices
• Well organised, detail oriented, dependable and a self-starter

Required skills

• Administration skills and excellent computer skills
• Good math skills and excellent grammar and spelling
• Able to use a PC, calculator and other basic business tools
