Learning & Development Specialist

About the role

SKG Properties is seeking a Learning & Development Specialist to design, develop, and deliver learning programs in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts. The role will start with generalist responsibilities, including light‑touch facilitation, basic change support, and LMS management, and will evolve into a more advanced L&D position.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct basic training needs analysis aligned with project and business priorities.
• Co‑create classroom, virtual, and e‑learning content with SMEs using tools such as Articulate, Scribe, Canva, and Bob Learn.
• Support SMEs during initial training sessions and later take ownership of delivery, including refresher workshops.
• Provide light‑touch change enablement by reinforcing key messages and assisting with communication activities.
• Administer the Learning Management System: upload courses, track users, and generate compliance reports.
• Gather learner feedback, update content, and contribute to the continuous improvement of L&D practices.

Required profile

• Minimum National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in HR, Education, Training & Development or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Accredited Facilitator certification (ETDP SETA) required; Prosci Change Management certification advantageous.
• At least 4 years of experience in L&D design and delivery.
• Ability to work under tight timelines in a project‑driven environment.
