Learning and Development Business Partner

About the role

The Learning and Development Business Partner works closely with Retail Heads of Function to translate strategic business needs into targeted learning solutions. Acting as a bridge between the business and the L&D team, this role ensures that development initiatives are aligned with the overall retail strategy and group objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Retail Heads of Function to identify strategic development needs and align them with business strategy.
• Articulate business development requirements and collaborate with SPA Talent Specialists and Fuse HR Shared Services to design suitable learning solutions.
• Attend and contribute to key business meetings (Operations, Merch/Marketing, Quarterly Management) to proactively surface L&D opportunities.
• Populate and maintain a learning strategy for each retail business, ensuring consistency with group‑wide objectives.
• Report progress, training spend, and skills metrics to business stakeholders.
• Project‑manage cross‑functional L&D initiatives that involve multiple internal and external partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience partnering with Retail Heads of Function or equivalent senior business leaders.
• Strong understanding of retail business strategy and its translation into learning priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑stakeholder projects and deliver on agreed timelines.
