Lead Youth STEM Teacher

About the role

Code Ninjas is seeking a Lead Youth STEM Teacher to inspire children aged 5‑14 in a fun, game‑based coding environment. You will guide students through hands‑on projects, foster creativity, and ensure a safe, inclusive learning space.

Key responsibilities

• Teach computer programming concepts using the Code Ninjas curriculum.
• Guide students through coding projects and challenges, offering support and encouragement.
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes problem‑solving.
• Assist students in troubleshooting technical issues and debugging code.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents or guardians.
• Collaborate with other instructors to develop and refine curriculum materials.
• Stay current on technology and education trends.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable about coding and technology or able to learn quickly.
• Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or mentorship role.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching.
• Legal authorization to work in the US and ability to commute to the center.
• First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
