Lead Flutter Engineer – Platform Strategy & Migration

About the role

Luno is building a single, high‑performance Flutter app to replace its separate iOS and Android codebases. As Lead Flutter Engineer you will define the technical vision, set architectural standards, and guide the migration programme that will serve millions of crypto customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Flutter platform strategy and roadmap, presenting it to engineering leadership.
• Design and document the Flutter architecture, covering state management, layering patterns, platform channel strategy, design‑system integration, accessibility, and localisation.
• Partner with product fleets, engineering managers and the ADL team to sequence migration work, manage dependencies and enforce quality gates.
• Establish and govern shared tooling, architectural standards and reference implementations across all product teams.
• Lead the Flutter chapter: run design reviews, author decision records, maintain the internal Flutter handbook and foster a learning environment for mid‑ and senior‑level engineers.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale Flutter migrations or similar cross‑platform initiatives.
• Strong ability to think at scale, influence without direct authority and balance deep technical craft with organisational impact.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting strategy and technical decisions to diverse stakeholders.
