Lead Designer – Brand & Marketing

About the role

Capitec is seeking an energetic, self‑motivated Lead Designer to protect and evolve its brand while delivering compelling visual communication across marketing and product channels. You will guide a creative team, shape brand‑consistent concepts, and ensure a cohesive market profile.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design team in creating visual concepts for marketing, product launches and internal communications.
• Develop and maintain brand‑consistent design systems and visual language.
• Co‑lead, with the Copy Lead, the production of Above the Line (ATL) and Below the Line (BTL) digital campaign assets.
• Act as custodian of the brand’s visual communications, advising on correct usage and supporting business objectives.
• Oversee the end‑to‑end creative process, from ideation and prototyping to final delivery.

Required profile

• 7‑8+ years of proven experience in an advertising agency or internal studio environment.
• Strong background in retail marketing, branding and design systems.
• Demonstrated leadership on high‑volume, fast‑paced projects.
• Experience supervising designers and coordinating cross‑functional teams.
