Lead Control and Instrumentation Engineer (EPCM) – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

You will report directly to the Project Manager – Concentrator and work closely with the Project Office, engineering consultants, construction, commissioning and operations teams. The position is based in Johannesburg with occasional travel to the project site in Zimbabwe to support engineering, construction, commissioning and operational readiness activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist control and instrumentation engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure effective integration of all control, instrumentation and automation systems to meet scope, schedule, budget, quality and safety objectives.
• Deliver regular progress updates and technical recommendations to the Project Manager.
• Support construction, commissioning and operational readiness phases.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic, Control or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Professional registration with ECSA or equivalent (advantageous).
• Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
• 10–12 years of experience in control and instrumentation engineering, preferably in mining, minerals processing or heavy industrial projects.
• Experience in EPCM environments, greenfield and brownfield projects, and construction/commissioning activities.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term 12‑month contract (extendable based on project needs and performance).
• Salary package of R140 000 – R160 000 per month.
