Lead Analyst: Profitability

About the role

Capitec is looking for a Lead Analyst: Profitability to provide subject matter expertise, technical leadership and commercial insight in the development, maintenance and enhancement of profitability models across products, transactions, channels and business activities. The role translates complex financial and operational data into insights that support pricing, investment evaluation, business case development and performance optimisation, and partners with Finance Business Partners and senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance profitability models across products, transactions, channels and business activities.
• Turn complex financial and operational data into insights for pricing, investment evaluation, business cases and performance optimisation.
• Partner with Finance Business Partners and senior stakeholders to identify key profit drivers and value creation opportunities.
• Provide oversight, guidance and mentorship within the profitability function and drive continuous improvement in modelling methodologies, cost allocation frameworks and analytical capabilities.

Required profile

• 2-4 years' experience in analytical roles with exposure to activity-based costing and project appraisal, leading projects and engaging with senior management.
• Proven experience building activity-based cost models and constructing business cases.
• Experience analysing large, complex datasets and supporting decisions through financial modelling and profitability analysis.
• Experience presenting findings to management and engaging with multiple stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Financial Accounting) or Mathematical Sciences.
• Clear criminal and credit record.
