About the role
The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness is seeking a full‑time Laundry Aid to support essential laundry operations within its central laundry facility.
Key responsibilities
- Perform washing, drying, folding and ironing of laundry.
- Assist with mixing of chemicals and operate washing machines and tumble dryers.
- Load and unload machines, monitor quality of work and keep the work area clean.
- Empty soiled linen bags, sort, count, seal and stack linen for dispatch.
- Prepare linen for the ironers and folding area.
Required profile
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Experience in a central laundry and linen setting.
- Physically fit to perform manual labour.
