About the role
The Labour Consultant will provide expert advice on employment relations to a portfolio of clients across the Western Cape and nationally. You will work independently, travelling to client sites and supporting organisations through complex labour matters.
Key responsibilities
- Advise clients on retrenchment, disciplinary and incapacity procedures.
- Chair disciplinary enquiries and represent clients at CCMA and Bargaining Council conciliations and arbitrations.
- Draft employment contracts and ensure compliance with current labour legislation.
- Identify and acquire new client accounts while growing existing relationships.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of labour law developments.
Required profile
- B.Com Law, LLB or HR‑related tertiary qualification.
- Minimum three years’ experience in labour consulting.
- Own a reliable vehicle and willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays.
- Ability to work independently and manage a client portfolio.
- Fluent English (spoken and written); Afrikaans spoken is advantageous.
