Laboratory Sales Specialist – Microbiology & Water

About the role

The company is a reputable supplier of scientific instrumentation, consumables and laboratory solutions. It seeks a technically‑savvy Laboratory Sales Specialist to grow its Water and Microbiology portfolio, acting as a key account manager for customers in the environmental and testing sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and expand accounts within water, environmental and microbiology testing sectors.
• Develop new business and generate revenue across the assigned territory.
• Prepare quotations and respond to technical and commercial enquiries.
• Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations and after‑sales support.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, sales statistics and regular reporting.
• Liaise with suppliers, administration and internal support teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification – BSc Honours or MSc in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry or related discipline.
• Approximately two years of experience in a technical, sales or customer‑focused role.
• Strong command of English, confident communicator and self‑driven.
• Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle, passport and willingness to travel.
• South African citizen, already based in Gauteng Province.
