About the role

Opaa! Food Management is seeking reliable Kitchen Staff to prepare breakfast and lunch offerings, support catering functions, and assist with all kitchen positions across its Midwest locations. The role involves daily set‑up of serving lines, food preparation according to Opaa! recipes, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and stock serving lines, ensuring food is held at required temperatures.
• Prepare menu items, including baked goods, and batch‑cook to maintain quality.
• Operate slicers, mixers, grinders, and other kitchen equipment with proper certification.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, cafeteria, and dishwashing areas; monitor chemical usage.
• Manage inventory using FIFO procedures and requisition supplies through the Kitchen Manager.
• Record production data, temperature logs, and follow HACCP and CACFP regulations.
• Participate in safety programs, meetings, and required training.

Required profile

• Ability to follow standardized recipes and menu plans.
• Commitment to food safety, sanitation, and compliance with HHFKA and CACFP guidelines.
• Willingness to work onsite in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records.

Required skills

• Food preparation and cooking.
