Key Individual and Director

About the role

The Key Individual and Director will lead Trive South Africa’s compliance, governance and strategic direction, ensuring the business operates within all regulatory frameworks while driving growth and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with FSCA regulations, the FAIS Act and all relevant South African legislation.
• Maintain governance frameworks, policies and procedures, and liaise with regulatory authorities.
• Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s strategic objectives and support business growth initiatives.
• Oversee enterprise risk management, internal controls and monitoring mechanisms.
• Provide oversight of daily operations, supervise key business functions and monitor performance against KPIs.
• Build and maintain relationships with regulators, clients, partners and internal stakeholders, representing the company in industry forums.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, Economics or a related field.
• Relevant regulatory qualifications required by the FSCA.
• 5–10 years senior management experience in financial services, brokerage, investment or fintech.
• Experience serving as a Key Individual under FAIS legislation is highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of South African financial services regulations and governance requirements.
