Kafka Developer – Real-time Data Streaming Specialist

About the role

Our client is looking for a skilled Kafka Developer to design, build, and maintain high‑throughput, low‑latency data streaming solutions. You will work closely with software engineering, data science, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable event‑driven pipelines that integrate with enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust Kafka producers, consumers, and streaming applications.
• Build scalable real‑time pipelines using Kafka Connect, Kafka Streams, or ksqlDB.
• Configure, monitor, and optimise Kafka clusters for performance, scalability, and high availability.
• Integrate Kafka with microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud storage platforms.
• Implement security controls (SSL, SASL, ACLs) and manage schemas via Schema Registry.
• Diagnose bottlenecks, resolve production issues, and ensure system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional Agile teams and promote event‑driven architecture best practices.
