Junior Web Developer – Creative Team (Hybrid, Belfast)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and creative Junior Web Developer to join our growing team in Belfast. This is an excellent opportunity for an early‑career professional who is passionate about web development and wants to build practical skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining websites and web applications.
• Support the implementation of responsive, user‑friendly web designs.
• Work closely with designers and project managers to deliver new features and updates.
• Ensure cross‑browser and cross‑device compatibility.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues and bugs.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging web technologies and industry trends.

Required profile

• Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and problem‑solving capability.
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field is desirable but not essential.
• Personal projects, freelance work, or a portfolio that demonstrates your abilities is a plus.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Understanding of responsive design and mobile‑first development.
• Familiarity with front‑end frameworks/libraries such as Bootstrap or jQuery.
• Some exposure to back‑end technologies like PHP or CMS platforms such as WordPress.
• Awareness of SEO principles and web accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Shopify and WordPress is advantageous.
