Junior Technical Sales Specialist – Valves (Durban South)

About the role

Valve & Automation Pty Ltd is seeking a Junior Technical Sales Specialist to support its national sales team in KwaZulu‑Natal. The role focuses on selling manual and control valves and providing technical solutions to clients in the pulp & paper and chemical sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue sales opportunities for manual and control valves.
• Conduct technical assessments of client flow‑related applications and propose total cost of ownership (TCO) solutions.
• Prepare and deliver product demonstrations, technical back‑up, and client presentations.
• Maintain a strong knowledge of the sales cycle and adhere to stringent work standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate technical information is communicated.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) with a technical qualification (N6 or N Diploma) – Mechanical Engineering Technician preferred.
• 2‑3 years experience with manual and control valves or related flow equipment.
• 2‑3 years technical sales experience in the pulp & paper or chemical industries, preferably with clients such as Mondi, Sappi, IVS.
• Must reside in the greater Durban area and be willing to work onsite.
