Junior Supply Chain Planner

About the role

Our client, a leading FMCG manufacturer with a large plant in Wolseley, Western Cape, is seeking a Junior Supply Chain Planner to support procurement, inventory management and supplier coordination. The role will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and Production Planner to ensure material availability and optimal stock levels.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain SAP MRP parameters and analyse material forecasts versus actual demand.
• Monitor inventory levels, execute buffer strategies and optimise pallet space for each SKU.
• Generate inventory reports and provide recommendations to improve warehousing efficiency.
• Collaborate with suppliers to prioritise deliveries, resolve order and quality issues, and communicate supply risks.
• Review and approve supplier invoices, verify quantities and pricing, and resolve discrepancies with relevant teams.

Required profile

• Entry‑level graduate or diploma holder with an interest in supply chain or logistics.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and external suppliers.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP (especially MRP modules).
