Junior Software Engineer – Remote (Cape Town)

About the role

Our client in the international oil and gas sector is seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join their dynamic team. The role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere while supporting critical software projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.
• Assist with project planning, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues, proposing effective solutions.
• Take part in code reviews to maintain code quality and standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Support software systems and project implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Solid understanding of C# and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with MS SQL Server and T‑SQL.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
• Basic understanding of hardware systems and computer architecture.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
