Junior Software Engineer – C#, C++, Java, Python, Kotlin (Remote)

About the role

We are a bespoke software company seeking an ambitious Junior Software Engineer to join our remote team. You will quickly become familiar with our codebase, gather user data, and support senior developers and the CTO on a variety of projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement software solutions for information systems.
• Evaluate operational feasibility, analyse requirements and propose solutions.
• Document designs, flowcharts, diagrams and write clear, maintainable code.
• Participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle, including testing and deployment.
• Collaborate with users, technical teams and management to collect requirements and meet deadlines.

Required profile

• BSc Honours degree in a relevant field (top 10% of class preferred).
• 0‑2 years of experience as a software engineer or full‑stack developer.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C#, C++, Java, Python and Kotlin.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and MVC architecture.
• Knowledge of Agile development, CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
• Understanding of clean‑code principles and object‑oriented programming.
