Junior Software Developer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Software Developer to join an engineering company in Rosebank, Johannesburg. The role focuses on building and maintaining software solutions that support both existing and new products in a Linux‑centric environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain web and cloud‑based applications using JavaScript, PHP, Python and C++.
• Collaborate with electronic engineers to integrate software with hardware designs.
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
• Work with MySQL databases and ensure data integrity.
• Participate in research activities to improve system performance and reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 0‑2 years of experience in software development, web development, Linux environments, database management and cloud technologies.
• Basic understanding of network infrastructure setup and maintenance.
