About the role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Software Developer to join an engineering company in Rosebank, Johannesburg. The role focuses on building and maintaining software solutions that support both existing and new products in a Linux‑centric environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web and cloud‑based applications using JavaScript, PHP, Python and C++.
- Collaborate with electronic engineers to integrate software with hardware designs.
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
- Work with MySQL databases and ensure data integrity.
- Participate in research activities to improve system performance and reliability.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 0‑2 years of experience in software development, web development, Linux environments, database management and cloud technologies.
- Basic understanding of network infrastructure setup and maintenance.
