Junior Sales Engineer

About the role

Our client in the refrigeration industry is seeking a Junior Sales Engineer to support the growth of their product portfolio. You will work closely with the sales team to promote solutions, develop new business opportunities, and maintain strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor market trends, conduct research and identify emerging opportunities in the refrigeration sector.
• Target prospective customers in the Johannesburg region, deliver product presentations and demonstrations.
• Negotiate and close deals to achieve or exceed sales targets.
• Build and nurture relationships with key accounts, providing post‑sale support and identifying upsell possibilities.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, prepare regular forecasts and reports for the Sales Manager.

Required profile

• Matric qualification; tertiary education is a plus.
• 3‑5 years of experience in a sales‑focused engineering role.
• Proven ability to meet sales targets and work with performance metrics.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
