Junior Quantity Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor to support our construction projects in Edenvale, Gauteng. You will work closely with project managers and subcontractors, gaining hands‑on experience across tendering, procurement, cost control and site measurement.

Key responsibilities

• Complete and submit construction tenders
• Measure and prepare monthly progress claims
• Prepare and assess subcontractor payment certificates
• Prepare subcontractor appointments and related documentation
• Assist with project procurement and obtain supplier/subcontractor quotations
• Measure quantities from drawings and site information
• Assist with cost control and monitor project expenditure
• Liaise with project managers, site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintain project cost and procurement records

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
• Suitable for a junior QS or recently qualified candidate
• Good understanding of construction drawings and measurement
• Strong numerical and analytical ability
• Organised with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Good communication skills
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to construction sites within Gauteng
• Experience in filling stations, retail construction or civil works is advantageous but not essential
