Junior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

About the role

A well‑established property development company in Johannesburg South is seeking a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator. The role offers a solid foundation in quantity surveying, estimating and construction cost management, with clear pathways for career development within the property sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review estimates, quotations and costings for construction projects.
• Carry out material take‑offs and calculate quantities accurately.
• Assist with budgets, cost comparisons and overall project costing.
• Analyse numerical data and provide detailed cost reports.
• Maintain high attention to detail and ensure accuracy in all calculations.
• Utilise Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• Relevant Quantity Surveying or related construction qualification.
• Previous experience in a Junior QS, estimating or costing role.
• Basic understanding of construction costs, materials and building processes.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities with a hands‑on approach.
