Junior Quantitative Analyst

About the role

The Junior Quantitative Analyst will support the development, documentation and monitoring of quantitative models across the organisation. This role involves independent data work, reporting and collaboration with data and IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collate and analyse data using preset tools and formats, working independently.
• Produce accurate stakeholder reports by gathering data from standard sources and formatting it consistently.
• Support interpretation and time‑series tracking of advanced and predictive analytics using specialised software.
• Assist in risk scenario modelling, evaluating model performance against monitoring thresholds and creating automated monitoring reports.
• Resolve complex internal or external queries on policies and procedures, escalating when necessary.
• Track and update business and model performance metrics in line with organisational protocols.
• Ensure compliance with organisational policies, regulatory codes and conduct standards.
• Develop personal capabilities through training, coaching and staying updated on technology and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Financial Risk Management, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in data insight or predictive analytics.
• Proficiency in SQL or SAS.
• Proficiency in R or Python.
• Preferable experience extracting data from databases.
• Advantageous exposure to bureau data.
