Junior Production Assistant – Scenic Division

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Junior Production Assistant to support our Scenic Division in Cape Town. This hybrid office‑warehouse role blends administrative duties with hands‑on event and installation work, providing essential support to our production team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain project documentation such as spreadsheets, timelines, trackers, schedules, equipment lists and job packs.
• Conduct online research on suppliers, materials, scenic elements and production solutions.
• Source suppliers, request quotations, prepare purchase orders and keep supplier records.
• Book accommodation, catering, transport and other logistical requirements for projects.
• Assist with warehouse organization and handling of scenic elements.
• Provide on‑site and warehouse support during scenic installations, setups and strike‑downs.
• Support freelance crew bookings and clearly communicate logistics.
• Handle a variety of ad‑hoc tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• Fast learner who anticipates problems and takes initiative.
• Highly organized, detail‑obsessed and able to juggle multiple tasks.
• Strong communicator, reliable and team‑oriented.
• Willing to work flexible, irregular hours and on‑site as project demands.
• Physically fit for warehouse and event‑site work.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets and Google Docs.
• Advanced spreadsheet creation and data‑tracking abilities.
• Effective online research and supplier sourcing.
