Junior Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

Our client, a forward‑thinking manufacturing company, is looking for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design team. This position offers hands‑on experience across the full product development cycle, working closely with senior engineers and cross‑functional groups.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
• Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and bills of materials using CAD tools.
• Support design reviews and prototype evaluations.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams and suppliers to ensure design feasibility and cost‑effectiveness.
• Conduct basic simulations and stress analysis under supervision.
• Maintain design documentation and change‑control records.

Required profile

• BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering (essential).
• 1–3 years of experience in a mechanical design role.
• Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or Creo.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and material selection.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
• Enthusiastic, self‑motivated, and eager to learn.
