Junior IT Support Technician

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior IT Support Technician to join our growing team in Boksburg. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience supporting both Microsoft and Google Workspace environments while working alongside seasoned IT professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical support, troubleshooting computer hardware, software and network connectivity issues.
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining servers, PCs, network devices and backup systems.
• Support users in both Microsoft and Google Workspace platforms.
• Document procedures, create training materials and contribute to knowledge‑base updates.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure high uptime and timely resolution of support tickets.

Required profile

• Degree or 3‑year diploma in Information Technology.
• 2–3 years of experience in an IT Technician role (preferred).
• A+ and Network+ certifications are a plus.
• Valid driver’s licence for on‑site repairs.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Microsoft software (Windows OS, Office suite).
• Experience with Google Workspace.
• Basic networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of servers, PCs, network devices and backup procedures.
• Understanding of IT security, firewalls and network management.
