Junior IT Software Developer

About the role

This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Junior Embedded Software Developer to join an engineering team focused on firmware for power electronics such as inverters, batteries and rectifiers. You will work closely with hardware and application teams to design, develop, test and maintain reliable low‑level software.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded firmware using C/C++.
• Build efficient low‑level software that interfaces directly with hardware and sensors.
• Support integration between embedded systems and higher‑level applications.
• Assist with troubleshooting, diagnostics and resolution of software issues.
• Participate in improving software maintainability across product variants.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer, Electronic or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in embedded software development (C/C++).
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a technical team.

Required skills

• Embedded C and C++ programming.
• Version control with Git.
• Basic SSH knowledge for remote access.
• Docker usage for development and testing environments.
• Linux terminal fundamentals (shell, logs, processes, file permissions).
• Networking fundamentals (IP addressing, ports, troubleshooting).
• Understanding of API design and device/service communication.
• Exposure to automated testing (unit and integration).
• Node.js and/or Deno for tooling and test harnesses.
• Python scripting for automation and support tools.
• Familiarity with Modbus, CANbus, DNP3 communication protocols.
