Junior Instrument Audit Technician

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Instrument Audit Technician to join our team in Johannesburg. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience with instrumentation, testing equipment and audit processes, providing a solid foundation for a career in skilled trades and mechanical engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with troubleshooting, fault finding and auditing of instrumentation and control equipment.
• Conduct basic testing, calibration and verification of instruments.
• Record and document audit and inspection results accurately.
• Identify faulty, damaged or incorrectly functioning instrumentation and report findings.
• Prepare technical reports, checklists and audit documentation.
• Maintain accurate equipment and calibration records.
• Travel to client sites when required and keep tools, testing equipment and work areas in good condition.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• 0–2 years of relevant technical experience or exposure through internships, learnerships or technical training.
• Technical qualification or certificate (N2, N3, N4) is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of measuring instruments and technical equipment.
• Computer literate, especially with MS Word and Excel.
• Good numerical and administrative skills.
• Valid driver’s licence is a plus.
