Junior Human Resource Business Partner

About the role

The Junior Human Resource Business Partner will support line managers and employees by delivering people solutions, providing first‑line HR advice, and ensuring consistent application of HR policies. Working closely with senior HR Business Partners and the General Manager, the role contributes to the achievement of business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Build effective relationships with supervisors and line managers and provide first‑line HR advice.
• Support implementation of HR strategies, business initiatives and workforce planning.
• Assist with employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and incapacity processes.
• Facilitate performance management, talent reviews, succession planning and employee engagement activities.
• Coordinate onboarding, integrations and employee movements, ensuring accurate records.
• Compile HR reports, monitor metrics such as turnover and absenteeism, and flag trends.
• Participate in HR projects, change initiatives and the rollout of new policies.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organisational Psychology or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of labour legislation and recruitment best practices.
• Excellent communication, coaching and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
• Strong administration and report‑writing skills.
