About the role
The Junior HR Clerk / Payroll Administrator will support the HR and payroll functions for an engineering company operating in the East Rand area. The role focuses on processing payroll using SAGE 300 and maintaining accurate employee records while ensuring compliance with company policies.
Key responsibilities
- Process monthly payroll for all staff using SAGE 300, including deductions, benefits, and overtime.
- Maintain and update employee master data, contracts, and leave records.
- Assist with time‑keeping and attendance management.
- Prepare statutory reports and liaise with external auditors as required.
- Support recruitment and onboarding activities for engineering personnel.
Required profile
- Matric qualification.
- Minimum five years of experience in HR or payroll, preferably within the engineering sector.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle confidential information.
- Clean criminal record (to be verified).
Required skills
- Proficiency with SAGE 300 payroll module.
- Experience with Uniclox software is an advantage.
