Junior HHXRF Service Technician

About the role

The Junior HHXRF Service Technician will ensure that HHXRF instruments operate to manufacturer specifications and meet customer requirements. This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, calibrating, and testing analytical equipment both on‑site and remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Perform fault assessments remotely and in‑house.
• Carry out repairs, calibrations, and testing of HHXRF instruments.
• Maintain accurate service documentation for each job.
• Manage spare parts inventory to support efficient workflows.
• Communicate repair status and technical findings clearly to the service team and customers.
• Return serviced instruments to customers in a timely and reliable condition.

Required profile

• National Diploma or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or a related field.
• Strong electronics troubleshooting ability.
• Computer literate.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Experience with analytical instrumentation is advantageous.
• Radiation safety knowledge is advantageous.
