About the role
Senwes Grainlink is looking for a Junior Fumigator who will be responsible for assisting with and monitoring safe and effective fumigation procedures at agricultural grain silos to prevent pest infestations and maintain the quality of stored grain.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and setup of fumigation equipment and materials.
- Collaborate with the senior fumigator to implement fumigation plans.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of fumigation equipment.
- Apply fumigants using approved methods.
- Ensure the effectiveness of quality control procedures and systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Track fumigation materials and equipment stock levels to maintain adequate supply.
Required profile
- National Senior Certificate.
- Fumigation Certificate.
- Valid PDP with Dangerous Goods endorsement.
- At least 2 years’ experience in fumigation and grain storage.
Required skills
- Fumigation equipment operation.
- Dangerous Goods handling.
