About the role
Gelmar is seeking a Junior Full Stack Developer to join its e‑commerce team. You will work on a Magento‑based online store, helping to design, customise and maintain high‑quality web solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Design, customise and maintain the company e‑commerce website.
- Develop and integrate complex web projects, including third‑party modules.
- Contribute to the full e‑commerce lifecycle, from planning to deployment.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver innovative user‑experience improvements.
- Assist with website upgrades and research new modules.
Required profile
- Matric and a relevant IT qualification.
- 1‑3 years experience as a Full Stack Developer.
- Experience building and maintaining e‑commerce sites.
- Strong eye for UX/UI design and best‑practice implementation.
Required skills
- Magento, PHP and MySQL.
- HTML5, CSS and native JavaScript (ES6+).
- Node.js, RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
- Unix/Linux server management (CLI), Apache/Nginx, PM2 and firewalls.
- jQuery and version‑control systems (e.g., Git).
