Junior External Sales Representative

About the role

RedM Professional Services is seeking a self‑driven Junior External Sales Representative to grow its client base across the Western Cape. You will be the face of the brand on the road, visiting existing customers and opening new accounts in the paint, coatings and building‑materials market.

Key responsibilities

• Visit and maintain relationships with existing clients such as panel shops, resellers and applicators.
• Prospect, cold‑call and open new accounts – the primary measure of success.
• Build and manage a healthy pipeline, reporting regularly to the Sales Manager.
• Represent the company at client visits, trade events and industry gatherings.
• Identify opportunities as the product range expands into architectural, decorative, industrial and wood coatings.
• Plan travel and call cycles to maximise territory coverage.

Required profile

• Own a reliable, road‑worthy vehicle and a valid South African driver’s licence.
• Hunter mentality with comfort in cold‑calling and prospecting.
• Strong communication and people skills, able to represent a manufacturing brand in the field.
• Self‑motivated, capable of managing own diary with minimal supervision.
• Sales experience in paint, coatings, hardware or building materials is a plus but not mandatory.
