Junior Engineer – Data Processing & Quality

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Engineer to support the processing, validation, and delivery of high‑quality datasets. You will work under guidance to ensure data accuracy, maintain tracking records, and help automate repetitive tasks, contributing to overall efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Process datasets from multiple sources using Excel and Python.
• Perform basic data validation and quality checks, flagging issues for escalation.
• Update tracking systems with dataset status and maintain accurate processing logs.
• Document workflows, scripts, and recurring processes.
• Assist internal teams with data‑related queries and support root‑cause analysis.
• Support development and testing of simple Python automation scripts.
• Suggest improvements to reduce manual work and enhance turnaround times.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to follow documented processes.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work reliably under supervision and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Python (basic scripting, pandas or similar libraries).
• Microsoft Excel (formulas, basic data manipulation).
• Basic SQL knowledge.
• Basic PHP knowledge.
• Familiarity with version control basics such as Git (optional).
