About the role
We are looking for a Junior Electrical Software Engineer to join our team in Parktown North. You will work on developing, testing and implementing software solutions that support our electrical engineering products.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software for existing and new electrical engineering products.
- Design system architecture, troubleshoot and debug hardware‑level software issues.
- Write code primarily in C/C++ on Linux platforms.
- Integrate with SQL databases (MySQL) and create basic web interfaces using PHP and JavaScript.
- Read and interpret electronic and electrical schematics and collaborate with electronic engineers on design reviews.
Required profile
- BEng in Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- 1–2 years of post‑graduation experience in software development.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- South African citizenship.
Required skills
- C and C++ programming.
- Linux operating system.
- MySQL database handling.
- PHP and JavaScript for basic web interfaces.
- Ability to read electronic/electrical diagrams.
