Junior Demand Planner

About the role

My client in the textile and clothing manufacturing industry, based in Mobeni, is seeking a Junior Demand Planner to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts and supporting production planning, inventory management and supply chain operations. The role will act as a link between the Sales, Quality Assurance, Production and Supply Chain teams to ensure customer demand is met efficiently and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for managing finished goods stock levels in line with company policies and customer requirements.
• Support the achievement of 100% on‑time and in‑full (OTIF) delivery.
• Manage inventory effectively by balancing customer demand with the need to minimise excess stock.
• Monitor and ensure that excess and obsolete stock is depleted timeously.
• Coordinate with Production and Manufacturing teams to ensure finished goods are produced according to customer requirements and within required lead times.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors to support on‑time deliveries and resolve supply chain issues that may affect finished goods availability.
• Generate and analyse reports relating to inventory levels, stock turnover and customer demand.
• Ensure system information and administrative processes are maintained accurately and timeously.
• Provide support to the Senior MRP / Supply Chain Planner as required.

Required profile

• Matric with Mathematics.
• Supply Chain / Logistics qualification advantageous.
• 1–2 years' experience in a Demand Planning role.
• Experience within the Textile or Clothing Manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
