Junior Data Analyst – Health Intelligence

About the role

The Junior Analyst will support the Health Intelligence – Data Intelligence unit at Discovery Health, maintaining client data and reporting needs on a weekly and monthly basis. The role emphasizes accurate data capture, validation, and the use of AI tools to streamline reporting and deliver actionable insights for clinical and operational improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Capture, update, and maintain data accurately across reports and systems.
• Support the production of standardized reports by ensuring data completeness and timeliness.
• Perform data validation, cleaning, formatting, and preparation for reporting.
• Follow structured checklists and quality‑assurance processes to verify data accuracy.
• Log and track data changes or stakeholder requests and maintain related documentation.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to reporting and analytical processes.
• Participate in design, testing, and implementation of AI‑powered solutions, including chatbots and Copilot tools.
• Research emerging AI technologies and provide recommendations for adoption.
• Leverage generative AI tools to improve reporting efficiency, documentation, and insight generation.

Required profile

• Completed or currently studying towards a diploma.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Good organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow structured processes and work effectively in a team.
• Strong interest in artificial‑intelligence technologies and continuous learning.

Required skills

• Experience with generative AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini.
• Understanding of prompt‑engineering principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of AI‑assisted analytics and automated insight generation.
• Ability to identify automation opportunities and design efficient business solutions.
