About the role
The role involves managing the credit function for a company based in KuGompo City, Eastern Cape. You will be responsible for collecting outstanding payments, reconciling accounts and ensuring compliance with credit policies.
Key responsibilities
- Collect outstanding money from debtor accounts and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Reconcile customer and control accounts, prepare credit and debit notes, and process journals.
- Vet credit applications according to company policy and obtain trade references.
- Import and process CATS and Great Plains debit order files, code and print EFTs, and handle daily debit order cancellations.
- Maintain customer data, update portals, and provide regular feedback on overdue accounts.
Required profile
- Minimum Grade 12 certificate.
- Certificate or diploma in credit management or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of credit management experience.
- Own reliable transport (preferred).
Required skills
- Experience with CATS system.
- Experience with Great Plains accounting software.
- Knowledge of EFT processing.
