Junior AI & Database Developer

About the role

Vela Personnel is looking for a Junior AI & Database Developer to support its digital transformation initiatives. You will work closely with engineering, project and business teams to improve data accessibility, automate processes and deliver business intelligence solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Support AI and automation projects using Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform and related technologies.
• Develop and maintain databases and data repositories.
• Create dashboards and reports with Power BI.
• Assist with SharePoint, Teams and Microsoft 365 integrations.
• Manage document and knowledge‑management systems.
• Write scripts and small applications in Python and SQL.
• Troubleshoot data and reporting issues.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives across engineering and business functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or National Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a related field.
• 0–3 years of relevant experience, including internships or graduate projects.
• Interest in mining, mineral processing, metallurgy, engineering design, EPCM project delivery and industrial data systems.
