Junior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team at One&Only Cape Town. In this role you will support revenue integrity, financial controls, and hotel accounting processes within a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review daily General Cashier and Income Audit packs and perform monthly revenue reconciliations.
• Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate revenue recording.
• Maintain the integrity of Property Management System (PMS), Point‑of‑Sale (POS), payment gateway, and General Ledger integrations.
• Authorize EFT refunds, verify discounts, rebates, complimentary services, voids, and rate overrides.
• Perform compliance audits, identify control weaknesses, and implement process improvements.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, assist with month‑end close, and produce financial reports and revenue analyses.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting environment, preferably within hospitality.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Knowledge of hotel accounting principles and revenue auditing procedures.
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast‑moving setting.
